Tighe Family "horror" video

After many years of living in NYC/Brooklyn we finally got to visit Uncle Lorne's place of employment, Carroll Music Co. They're a famous supplier of musical equipment to musicians playing in the NYC area, as well as for movies and tv shows. Lorne showed us their stockpile of sound effects instruments, and we decided to put together a horror flick soundtrack. Apparently Grandma Tighe didn't get the "horror" part of it, but the end is worth it!

Tra-peeeeeze!

Last Thursday Mike (Dad) went to trapeze school with several members of his family in NYC to celebrate his sister Patty's graduation from NYU (Lory, Colleen, Patty, Mike, Lorne, and Mom for emotional support). Here are some clips from the school. We had about 15 min of instructions, then they started us on the trapeze. Really scary at first, but we got much better after the 5th or 6th times! The final move was the "catch", where the instructor is swinging from the opposite trapeze and catches you as you peak up. All the Tighes passed this test, although we didn't get them all on film. Mom always said we belonged in the circus!

First Patty;

Then Mike;

Then Uncle Lorne (the timing was off this time, but he did it too!);

Mother's Day

after church fotos

Dad made some great sweet potato waffles, then off to church, with handsome boys, Mike too although not shown,, afterwards Mike used my new chain degreaser/cleaner (early mother's day gift) to clean up the bikes for a ride. I made a mushroom/spinich tart and an asparagus one, then we ventured out. Unfortuneately I do not have fotos of our bike ride. It was at first adorable to see both boys in the trailer, Mike hauled them against the wind to the airport and I followed along with pinwheels around my bike. A few cries and whines accompanied us but with a break at the airport and a search for any wildlife we only found stormy clouds. So with juice boxes gone and no more grahm crackers we again faced the wind ?? and then hail/snow we only heard the constant cries from the trailer (at this point comical),, heads bent down we hustled home for a fire and jammies. A great mothers day,, plus a special card from Mike along with a fancy candle and lip balm that i had to squirrel away from dominic,,
