At the NC State fair,, coldest night so he was bundled,, Dominic didn't end up seeing or eating nearly as much as we did-

Mike and his Dad trying their hand at the turkey shoot,, A benefit for the Raleigh Jaycees where you fire live loads (fine shot) with the shotgun into the hay bales and the one who blots the most out of the middle wins a turkey,, they didn't win the prize, (we couldn't see the little holes either) but they were happy,
fireworks at the end of the fair,, shopping at the farmers market with grandpa and grandma for veggies and a pumpkin

Trying a new bath bin...

Grandma & Grandpa Tighe's First Visit

From Grandma Tighe:

Hurrah for Obama! (boooooo??) Yes, here we are at the rally --why am I at this place when I have been taught better!!? It was a great day for all of us, even though I did secretly boo and hiss at some of the spoken words.

Fun time 'Stuffing the kid into the pumpkin'.

Hanging out with a 'drunken Grandma.' We had such a fun time as it was great weather and
all was 'smiling'.

Finally, I had my chance to ride the WEINER MOBILE but had no driver. Isn't it a thrill to see!

Grandpa checking out the snake squash at the farmer's market. Another fun time with food and items to eat at home--red and yellow peppers--yum, yum

Being with Kirsten , Mike and Dommy has been a blast! We did many things, among them was the time at the ocean, plantation, Wilmington, the rally for Obama, walks about the city while checking out the big, old houses, eating good foods, and visiting.

Dommy has grown so much since we arrived here. He thinks we are a little funny as he expresses himself with gurgles, noises, and WAAHAA WAAHAA! However, he does get our attention even though he is just being cute as a button.

Grandma and Grandpa Cassingham's First Visit

On September 15, 2008 Grandma Cassingham flew to Raleigh for a formal introduction to her first grandson. Grandpa Cassingham followed a week later for his meeting with Dominic. We were greeted with a wonderful poster signed by Dominic to his Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma celebrated her birthday with the most wonderful present anyone could ask for and Dominic suggested we take her to dinner. It was great! We all (except for Mike) jumped in the car and travelled to Williamsbugh Va. for a small vacation, Mike joined us later that night and the Tighe family stayed for the weekend. Grandma and Grandpa stayed in Williamsburg for the week and are now heading home. This is the greatest experience we have had to meet Dominic and spend so much time with him. Dominic was also introduced to his Virginia cousins and Grand Aunt Dottie while at Williamsburg. What a great weekend. We have posted a few pictures on the blog and now back to California. We think of Dominic every hour of the day and can not wait to show him off in our home town. Goodbye for now but watch to numerous posting in the near future.
